What it’s about. En 1877, un aristócrata suizo, Alfred von Rodt, se convirtió en el gobernador de la remota isla chilena que había dado origen a la leyenda de Robinson Crusoe. Exiliado de su país y familia, Von Rodt se esforzó por construir un "pequeño reino" utópico hasta su muerte, pero fracasó y perdió toda su fortuna. La película cuenta la historia de este paria a través de la vida de sus descendientes, quienes hoy buscan autonomía política y la preservación de su identidad indígena.
