What it’s about. Mediados del s. XIX. Como exigencia para firmar el armisticio que ponga fin a la Guerra Circasiana, las tropas rusas piden como garantía de la buena voluntad de sus enemigos al pequeño hijo de su caudillo, el jeque Shamil. Llevado a la corte de San Petersburgo, el niño es educado en la Academia Militar, donde ya de adulto, salvara la vida del Zar Alejandro II de un atentado terrorista. Llegada la noticia a oídos del jeque, éste considerara a su hijo como un traidor, iniciando de nuevo la Guerra Santa contra los rusos.
