What it’s about. Los doctores Case Montgomery y Gracia Scott investigan en un laboratorio la extraña llegada del "Viking Lander", un satélite enviado a Marte. Es imposible que éste haya regresado por sí mismo. Una vez en la Tierra la nave explota y de ella sale una criatura que se escapa del Laboratorio. El ejército busca al invasor para acabar con él. Mientras tanto, sola en el laboratorio, Gracia se encuentra con el alienígena, que intenta comunicarse con ella. Pero antes de poder hacerlo los soldados le dan muerte. En la autopsia descubren que la criatura esconde en su interior un huevo. El nuevo invasor continuará la misión de su progenitor: aniquilar la raza humana.
