What it’s about. Enviados a Afganistán por un periodo de 6 meses, los legionarios Markov y Hamilton quedan atrapados en una emboscada durante una expedición no autorizada. Markov salva a Hamilton, gravemente herido por el fuego rebelde, pero posteriormente abandona la Legión sin honores. Una vez de vuelta en París, Hamilton, convaleciente, desea seguir siendo legionario, mientras que Markov, ahora un civil y sin documentos de trabajo, trata de ganarse la vida con su hijo Khadji.
