What it’s about. "La Susana" es una chica huérfana que sirve en casa de la señora Engracia, una mujer que la recogió en brazos de su madre antes de morir. Allí viven también tres sobrinos de ésta: "la Asunta", "la Trini" y "el lorito" vagos, chulos y que abusan de Susana a su antojo. A ella, ingenua y de buen corazón, la conocen como "la tonta del bote" porque recoge colillas de tabaco y las guarda en una lata para dárselas a un pobre violinista ciego. La señora Engracia, por falta de dinero, decide alquilar una habitación, así aparece Felipe "el postinero", un bailarín al que las malas lenguas le dan fama de conquistador, chulo y mujeriego.
