What it’s about. Después de veinticuatro años sirviendo al Rey, Juan Soldado sólo ha ganado un pan y seis maravedíes, bienes que comparte caritativamente con Cristo y San Pedro cuando se le acercan para pedirle limosna. Para recompensar su generosidad, le conceden un don: todo lo que desee quedará inmediatamente encerrado en su zurrón. Sirviéndose de ese don, Juan Soldado consigue derrotar a las fuerzas del Mal (Lucifer y la Diablesa). Finamente, llega incluso a encerrar en el zurrón al mismísimo San Pedro, que intentaba cerrarle las estrechas puertas del cielo.
