What it’s about. Transcurre el año 1330 antes de Jesucristo. En Tebas, Sinhué el egipcio cuenta su vida. Abandonado al nacer en las aguas del Nilo, es recogido por un matrimonio que lo adopta como hijo. Así, cursa estudios de medicina, profesión de su padre adoptivo y hace amistad con Horemheb, el hijo de un quesero. Durante una cacería de leones, los dos jóvenes salvan la vida del faraón y entran así a su servicio. Sinuhé se convertirá en el cirujano personal del gobernante, pero pronto se verá arrastrado a las intrigas que amenazan al faraón.
