What it’s about. De cara a exponer los abusos de los Dererechos Humanos que se producen a diario en China, la directora Nanfu Wang se enfrenta sin ningún tipo de temor a las autoridades de su país una vez más, como ya hizo hace apenas dos años con el documental "Hooligan Sparrow". En esta ocasión, Wang decide poner sobre el tapete una cuestión flagrante: la política del gobierno chino que sólo permitía tener a un hijo por cada familia y todo lo que se escondía tras ella. En su búsqueda por la verdad, Wang descubre, a través de los testimonios de periodistas, activistas y familiares que han sufrido estos abusos en sus carnes, una complicada trama en la que se destapa un enorme negocio de esterilización, numerosos casos de abandono infantil e incluso raptos y secuestros aparentemente orquestados por el propio gobierno.
