Está casada por la ley goajira con Ángel, un capitalino de baja estrata social – pero muy ambicioso – que hace tiempo visitó el lugar, y se enamoró de ella; pero luego se marchó y no ha vuelto. Analía decide ir a la capital en su busca, porque va a tener un hijo. Pero él ya no está interesado en ella; ahora es novio de Jennifer, la hija de un rico hombre de empresa, lo cual le promete un futuro brillante con Ángel. Herida y sóla, Analía sufre además la implacable persecución de Jennifer e infinitas vicisitudes. Pero la valiente goajirita trabaja, estudia y rehace su vida… y finalmente también encuentra el amor en un hombre bueno: Rogelio.
