What it’s about. One day, Gino, a 16-year-old guest worker boy, is hired by his boss, a well-respected owner of a quarry, to keep an eye on his divorced wife. The boy gets involved and one day takes a liking to the much older lady, who successfully tries her hand at writing novels. The affection is soon reciprocated, and yet the writing ex-wife realizes that no blessing can rest on this relationship, the two worlds are too different and the resulting possibility of joint communication is too different. Gino dreams of a sports car, so one day she allows him to get behind the wheel of her expensive car. Eventually there is a serious accident in which Gino dies.
