What it’s about. En 1953 se encontraron las primeras imágenes de montañismo en la antigua oficina de un ex fotógrafo de Zermatt. Era una película muda de la primera era que mostraba el ascenso del Matterhorn por un grupo de guías a través de la cresta de Hornli. La película está atribuida al estadounidense Frederick Burlingham y fechada en 1901, por lo que es la primera película de montañismo de la historia. La historia del descubrimiento también estuvo envuelta en un cierto aura de leyenda y misterio, ya que se decía que la copia original de la película se había perdido para siempre en un naufragio en el Atlántico y era la única copia impresa que quedaba.
