Dracula (1931): reparto, argumento y streaming

Released in 1931, Dracula is a fantasía, drama and terror film directed by Tod Browning, running about 74 minutes. “The story of the strangest passion the world has ever known!” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. British estate agent Renfield travels to Transylvania to meet with the mysterious Count Dracula, who is interested in leasing a castle in London and is, unbeknownst to Renfield, a vampire. After Dracula enslaves Renfield and drives him to insanity, the pair sail to London together, and as Dracula begins preying on London socialites, the two become the subject of study for a supernaturalist professor, Abraham Van Helsing.

Who’s in it. Dracula stars Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula, Helen Chandler as Mina Seward, David Manners as John Harker and Dwight Frye as Renfield, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 7.2/10, Dracula has been warmly received by audiences. It went on to earn $700K at the box office.
