What it’s about. Nuestros Slackers (gandules): el elegante y aniñado Dave (Devon Sawa) y los otros dos, Jeff (Maronna) y Sam (Segal), van a graduarse con honores, por la Universidad de Holden, en "mentiras, engaños y robos". Parece ser que sus elaboradas estafas a prueba de fallos, requieren mucho más esfuerzo del que sería necesario para aprender, pero se trata de gustos. Dave conoce Angela (King) y flirtea con ella durante el examen de mediados de curso, en el que está haciendo trampa, pero comete el fatal error de escribir su nombre y su número de teléfono en una papeleta del examen. El malo Ethan (Schwartzman), que muestra tendencias psicóticas acechando a Angela, descubre la prueba incriminatoria y chantajea a los Slackers: o me conseguís a la chica, o hago que os echen.
