Released in 1983, Thor the Conqueror is an action, fantasy and adventure film directed by Tonino Ricci, running about 91 minutes. “It was written in the stars and dust that from the seed of Kunt the Annihilator would come the greatest of all chieftains, Thor the Conqueror!” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. After both his parents are brutally murdered by his fathers rival Gnut and his men the new born Thor is placed in hiding by the physical embodiment of the god Teisha. Raised in secret under the guidance of Teisha, Thor comes to maturity and goes on a quest to avenge the death of his parents and return peace to his lands, in the process he discovers a woman to take as his wife, finds and uncovers his fathers sword and masters the art of combat, all under the ever watchful eye of the amorphous Teisha.

Who’s in it. Thor the Conqueror stars Bruno Minniti as Thor, Maria Romano as Sheeba, the Slave, Malisa Longo as Ino, Third Virgin Warrior and Rosalba Ciofalo as First Virgin Warrior, among others.
