Hell's Ground poster

Released in 2007, Hell's Ground is an action, adventure, horror and science fiction film directed by Omar Ali Khan, running about 77 minutes.

What it’s about. In the spirit of the EC horror comics of old, the film tells the story of five teens who get lost on their way to a rock concert, are menaced by flesh eating mutations and then fall into the clutches of a family of backwoods killers. The film includes copious amounts of gore alongside a splattering of social commentary and several slices of dark humour. It’s best seen as a tribute to the cinema of Lucio Fulci and George Romero, but viewed from a distinctly Pakistani perspective.

Who’s in it. Hell's Ground stars Kunwar Ali Roshan as Vicky, Rooshanie Ejaz as Ayesha, Rubya Chaudhry as Roxy and Haider Raza as Simon, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 4.8/10, Hell's Ground has proved divisive with audiences.
