Flashman poster

Released in 1967, Flashman is an action and science fiction film directed by Mino Loy, running about 96 minutes. “Batman in red tights” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Though set in England, Flashman is another fun Italian production from the late 60s that leans on -attempted- humor and is heavily inspired by Batman. He's even got a very Battish theme song…. The somewhat convoluted plot concerns two gang of thieves who rob the same bank. One is a band of babes headed by a ruthless woman; the other is a group of thugs lead by a guy who has a serum that can turn anyone invisible. The employee they rob is none other than Flashman in disguise.

Who’s in it. Flashman stars Paolo Gozlino as Lord Alex Burman / Flashman, Claudie Lange as Alika, Ivano Staccioli as Kid and Jack Ary as Inspector Baxter, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 5.3/10, Flashman has proved divisive with audiences.
