Released in 1957, The Flying Dutchman is a drama film directed by Gerard Rutten, running about 93 minutes.

What it’s about. Biopic about the early years of pioneering aircraft manufacturer Anthony Fokker. After a fight with his teacher, headstrong Anthony Fokker refuses to return to his old school in Haarlem. Instead, he goes to a technical college in Mainz where he talks his teachers into including airplane design in the curriculum. Fokker soon starts building a prototype of his 'Spider' plane.
