Written by Walcyr Carrasco, with collaboration by Ecila Pedroso, it is a free adaptation of the Argentine telenovela Piel naranja. The telenovela stars Regiane Alves, Marcos Damigo, Heitor Martinez, and Glauce Graieb. Set in the 1930s, the story follows Ana Clara Guimarães, the intelligent daughter of a milkman who falls in love with the wealthy Carlos Eduardo da Silva Prates. Although they dream of building a life together, their romance is threatened by Carlos Eduardo's ambitious mother, Melânia, who conspires to separate them. After a series of cruel deceptions leaves Ana Clara pregnant, abandoned, and forced to rebuild her life, she must overcome betrayal, injustice, and heartbreak in her fight for happiness and true love.
