What it’s about. During a stormy night, a rich man is abandoned by his wife, blaming him for her unhappy life. The man and his driver die in an accident in the carriage, after leave the house to search the woman. Days later, the only son and heir of all the properties, Carlos Landa (Tomás Perrín), a military man, returns to the country with intentions of selling the hacienda and all the land, firing all the workers. The beautiful and charming maid, Luisa (Mapy Cortés), daughter of the death driver, encourages him to keep it all and begin to harvest the land. Although Carlos accepts, the villagers begin to gossip around the new life at the hacienda, with prejudices about Luisa and Carlos living alone there. However, in time Luisa starts to have feelings about Carlos, and he seems to correspond, but the arrival of an aristocratic woman, Margarita (Amparo Morillo), catches the attention of Carlos.
