While the princess is held by the dragon in its nest, three men each challenge the dragon; The Mandarin, who reads an order to release the princess; a Samurai, who uses bombs and arrows against the dragon; and the Buddha, whose willpower ultimately overwhelms and disenchants the dragon. Based on the puppet play by Richard Teschner.
