Cop Out (2010): cast, story & where to watch

Released in 2010, Cop Out is an action, comedy and crime film directed by Kevin Smith, running about 107 minutes. “Rock out with your Glock out” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Detectives Jimmy and Paul, despite nine years as partners, can still sometimes seem like polar opposites—especially when Paul's unpredictable antics get them suspended without pay. Already strapped for cash and trying to pay for his daughter's wedding, Jimmy decides to sell a rare baseball card that's worth tens of thousands. Unfortunately, when the collector's shop is robbed and the card vanishes with the crook, Paul and Jimmy end up going rogue, tracking down the card and the drug ring behind its theft, all on their own time and without any backup—except for each other.

Who’s in it. Cop Out stars Bruce Willis as Jimmy Monroe, Tracy Morgan as Paul Hodges, Michelle Trachtenberg as Ava and Seann William Scott as Dave, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 5.6/10, Cop Out has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $55.6M at the box office.
