What it’s about. Dans les années 1830, entre Natchez, Mississippi, et Nashville au Tennessee, un bandit sans foi ni loi, John Morrow, mieux connu sous le nom de Natchez Trace, vole et tue les voyageurs et s'adonne au trafic d'esclaves. Lorsque Morrow tue le propriétaire d'une plantation, sa fille, Sue, et son fiancé, Russ, décident d'éradiquer la menace. Russ réussit à être pris au service de Morrow, et apprend que celui-ci projette de bâtir un royaume de voleurs et d'assassins dont il serait le monarque.
