Aussi se rend-elle de temps à autre à Paris, où elle passe quelques jours chez son amie Maggy Thiébaut-Leroy. Elle y retrouve généralement son amant, Raoul Flores, champion de polo. Ayant eu vent de l'affaire, Henri Tournier, fou de jalousie, contraint Jeanne à inviter, le temps d'un week-end, Maggy et Raoul. Au quatuor vient s'ajouter Bernard Dubois-Lambert, un jeune archéologue, qu'une panne de voiture a conduit au château. Jeanne est amoureuse et veut quitter sa vie de bourgeoise, peut-être pour toujours...
