Il découvre rapidement que c'est un certain Ace Holmès, propriétaire du Saloon qui est à la tète des hors-la-loi et fait régner la terreur dans toute la région. Tout en séduisant la jolie Hanna Lewis, fille d'un propriétaire terrien, John entreprend une lutte sans merci contre Holmès et ses hommes. Avec l'aide de quelques villageois, il rétablira la paix dans le pays...
