La Main du Diable (1943) : distribution, intrigue et streaming

Released in 1943, La Main du Diable is a fantastique and horreur film directed by Maurice Tourneur, running about 80 minutes.

What it’s about. Un homme qui semble traqué entre dans l'auberge d'une abbaye, quelque part en pleine montagne. Il s'appelle Roland Brissot, il a la main gauche gantée et porte un coffret sous le bras. Un orage éclate, plongeant les lieux dans l'obscurité. Lorsque la lumière revient, le coffret a disparu. L'homme raconte, devant les pensionnaires rassemblés, son extraordinaire histoire.. Un an auparavant, il était un artiste raté. La femme qu'il aimait, une dénommée Irène, le méprisait. Un jour, un restaurateur lui vendit, pour une somme ridicule, un étrange porte-bonheur : une main momifiée, placée dans un coffret. Brissot devint rapidement riche et célèbre. Toutefois, il faut que le possesseur de la main la revende avant un an, sous peine d’être damné.
