What it’s about. Irlande, 1902. Une troupe de jeunes et jolies actrices et leur accessoiriste sont invités par le comte Marnack à passer quelques jours dans son château, qui se trouve sur une petites île au large des côtes Irlandaises, pour jouer une pièce de théâtre dans son petit théâtre privé . Le comte en effet est amoureux d’Evelyn, une des starlettes, en qui il retrouve les traits de Catherine, sa bien aimée disparue. Il faut dire que toutes les précédentes épouses de la famille sont toutes mortes décapitées et, pour ne pas déroger à la règle, les nouvelles invitées commencent elles aussi, une à une, à perdre la tête.
