What it’s about. Ce film adapte le roman qui a inspiré la série Free!. L'histoire se passe 4 ans avant les événements de la saison 1. Haruka Nanase, surnommé Haru par ses amis, a toujours aimé la natation et est très doué dans ce domaine. Mais avant de rencontrer Rin Matsuoka, il n'était pas vraiment intéressé par la compétition. Par la suite, il s'entrainera avec sérieux et, une fois au collège, il s'inscrira au club de natation en compagnie de Makoto Tachibana.
