Au même moment, le corps d'une fillette de 8 ans est découvert à moitié enseveli sous la neige, dans les montagnes du Nevada. Un meurtre gratuit en apparence. Bien que ses collègues de travail le poussent à mettre fin à sa carrière au sein de la police, Jerry est décidé à mener son enquête. Comment laisser un tel crime impuni ?
