Tora est subjugué par la beauté de l’épouse de Tominaga, Fujiko (Reiko Ôhara). Un jour, au bout du rouleau, Tominaga finit par tout abandonner. Tora accompagne Fujiko, dévastée par la disparition de son mari, dans un périple à travers l’île de Kyûshû, terre natale de Tominaga, dans l’espoir de le retrouver.
