What it’s about. Japon, ère Sengoku. Le seigneur de guerre Toyotomi Hideyoshi dominant a été vaincu par le dirigeant du clan Ôshu, Date Masamune. Il laisse derrière lui une lueur d'espoir, Ieyasu Tokugawa qui souhaite unir pacifiquement le pays ressortant de guerres épuisantes. Mais il y a aussi Mitsunari Ishida qui apporte désolation sur son passage pour venger la mort de Toyotomi Hideyoshi ; sa haine envers Date Masamune ne connaissant aucune borne. Ces deux anciens vassaux de Toyotomi Hideyoshi, au but radicalement opposé, vont mettre en branle une fois encore les différents seigneurs de guerre pour cet ultime combat. Mais une menace, bien plus terrible se prépare dans l'ombre…
