Bientôt, Gerardo arrive, accompagné d'un voisin qui l'a dépanné. L'intrusion de ce dernier, a priori anodine, perturbe pourtant gravement Paulina. Non sans raison : elle croit en effet reconnaître le médecin qui jadis la tortura...
