What it’s about. Fabiana, Carlo, Claudio et Vincenzo … Je les ai rencontrés en 1982 à Mercatale, leur village de Toscane, proche de Florence. Ils avaient entre 25 et 45 ans et étaient des militants heureux du Parti Communiste Italien, cet étrange parti qui a marqué l’histoire et qui pour eux était aussi une école et une famille. Pendant plus de 20 années (1982/2004), j’ai tourné à Mercatale tous les deux ou trois ans. A travers la vie du village, le film retrace sur le « temps long » leur évolution politique et personnelle.
