Released in 1996, Kimera is a horreur, animation and science-fiction film directed by Kazuyoshi Yokota, running about 55 minutes. “For centuries, there have been legends of” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. D'étrange capsules provenant de l'espace s'écrasent sur la Terre. L'Air force déploie alors ses troupes. Les capsules ont emmenées avec elles des être surnaturels connus uniquement dans les légendes. Des sortes de vampires marchent sur Terre et sont en guerre avec l'humanité. Ils sont venus perpétrer leur espèce ! Nous suivons alors Osamu, jeune terrien, dans un laboratoire. Il y découvre alors une étrange personne enfermé dans un bocal : Kimera. Osamu tombe sous le charme de l'étrange créature. Jay, l'ami d'Osamu, demande à son père (un scientifique dirigeant les recherches sur cette étrange personne) de les laisser se rapprocher de Kimera. Osamu va alors essayer de libérer Kimera sans en imaginer les conséquences !
