What it’s about. Le village de Hanatani dans la vallée de la préfecture de Tokushima va être submergé lors de la construction d'un barrage. Afin de préserver la beauté du lieu pour les générations futures, les villageois décident de photographier toutes les familles du village. Kenichi, le seul photographe du village, est chargé du projet. Il appelle son fils Takashi, photographe en herbe, pour l'aider dans la tâche. Takashi est perplexe car son père et lui ne sont pas du tout proches, mais alors qu'ils visitent tour à tour chaque famille et que Takashi voit son père travailler, les sentiments de Takashi envers son père commencent à changer.
