Alors qu'elle vient d'entamer une nouvelle relation amoureuse, elle se réjouit de retourner en Autriche pour fêter les 95 ans de son grand-père. Décidée à en apprendre plus sur son passé, elle mène son enquête au risque de dévoiler des secrets douloureux...
