What it’s about. Un ancien capitaine des Texas rangers, Steve Carson, abat un bandit qui s'enfuyait après avoir cambriolé la banque, mais il est emprisonné pour meurtre. Il s'évade de prison avec l'aide de son ami, Smiley, et tous deux se font embaucher comme cowboys dans le ranch de Toni Eaton. Celui-ci, ainsi que tous les éleveurs de la contrée, est victime du racket mis en place par Buck Prescott. Et c'est un cavalier masqué, Durango Kid, qui entreprend de détruire Prescott et ses bandits.
