Mais il s'en sort et se retrouve exonéré de sa faute. Peu après, Tit-Coq est invité à passer les fêtes de Noël dans la famille de Jean-Claude. Pour lui qui est orphelin, né du péché, se retrouver dans une vraie famille est un cadeau du ciel. Là, il y trouve le confort d'un vrai foyer, la présence rassurante d'un père et l'amour d'une mère. Mais il y trouve aussi l'amour de la belle Marie-Ange, la soeur de Jean-Claude.
