Un papillon de nuit mâle ignore sa femelle pour manger un chapeau et elle est bientôt séduite par la flamme d'une bougie, qui se propage rapidement. Il la remarque piégée dans une toile d'araignée avec le feu attaquant et fait quelques tentatives pour la sauver, mais verse du benzène sur le feu par erreur.
