Released in 1940, Paris - New-York is a romance film directed by Georges Lacombe, running about 90 minutes.

What it’s about. Différentes intrigues se nouent au cours d'une traversée à bord du paquebot Normandie ralliant New York, son terminus. L'inspecteur Boucheron convoie le Diamant de la Couronne, une pierre de grande valeur qui doit figurer en bonne place dans le pavillon français de l'Exposition universelle de New York. À bord, il retrouve le commissaire Lambert, de la Sûreté, également en mission. Paul, journaliste désargenté prend part à la croisière pour retrouvée sa bien-aimée qui a omis de faire la lumière sur sa classe sociale. M. de Saintongen ancien magistrat a quitté femme et enfants pour convoler avec sa ancienne maîtresse devenu sa nouvelle épouse, une chanteuse du Music Hall. Le film n'est pas une suite au « Café de Paris » (1938), mais certains mêmes personnages sont présents et leurs histoires en est une continuité.
