Son dernier coup fut l'attaque de l'Express Anvers-Tanger, transportant une précieuse cargaison de diamants industriels. Mais l'opération tourna au fiasco et tous ses complices furent abattus. Seul survivant de ce désastre, Manu trouve refuge dans la maison de montagne de Lucia, veuve d'un contrebandier, qui vit seule avec son petit garçon…
