What it’s about. Au début des années 1990, la chanteuse Isabella a vécu son heure de gloire le temps d’un été. Vingt ans plus tard elle vit retirée dans la ville très provinciale de Ferrare, où elle continue de se produire avec les mêmes chansons, accompagnée par son fils Bruno, devant un public de plus en plus clairsemé. Isabella s’est persuadée que la naissance de Bruno a mis un terme à son succès. Cela n’empêche pas la relation fusionnelle, quasi amoureuse, entre mère et fils, malgré des frictions. La relation entre mère et fils change. Bruno vole de ses propres ailes, ce qui oblige Isabella à faire enfin face à la réalité.
