Petit à petit, elle apprend à mieux connaître Angela, la bonne, que pour rompre la monotonie des jours de la province, la pousse à des confidences qui débouchent rapidement sur des jeux érotiques toujours plus poussés, causant la mort accidentelle de la belle-mère. Finalement, à l'instigation d'Angela, le tout abouti à un « ménage à trois » avec le pharmacien Mario.
