What it’s about. Lonely Fifteen est l'un des films les plus scandaleux de son époque à la fois réaliste et sulfureux. Le producteur Johnny Mak et le réalisateur David Lai (bien avant son culte Saviour of The Soul) racontent la chute d’un groupe de filles vers l’enfer de l’exploitation du sexe, de la drogue et de la violence. Avec une approche quasi documentaire et avec un son synchronisé, l’aliénation juvénile, le tourbillon d'hormones, la rupture familiale, l’indulgence dans le consumérisme et le rejet par un système éducatif totalement mal préparé aux temps qui changent y sont montrés de façon inédite. Becky Lam, qui, pour sa première et seule apparition à l'écran, remporta le prix de la meilleure actrice aux Hong Kong Film Awards en 1983, ne prendra pas la peine de se présenter à la cérémonie. Après un scan 2K du négatif original, la restauration a été effectuée à Paris et la France sera le seul pays au monde à en bénéficier.
