What it’s about. Le bandit Slug Raton assomme un cowboy de passage,Bob Grady, et lui laisse son chapeau et son cheval. Le shérif, à la poursuite de Slug, arrête Grady à sa place, mais Grady s'échappe et est déterminé à prouver son innocence. Tâche difficile car il est poursuivi à la fois par le shérif, à la tête d'une bande de vigilants, et par le gang de Slug qui croit que Grady a tué son chef.
