Son principal sujet de préoccupation reste la pétillante Helena, sa compagne depuis près de deux ans, une jeune femme d'origine portugaise qu'il n'a jamais osé présenter à sa famille. Lorsqu'Helena lui apprend qu'elle est enceinte, Brahim est pris entre deux feux : sa religion condamne l'avortement, mais faire sa vie avec une catholique pourrait le brouiller définitivement avec son père...
