Released in 1994, The Terrorist is a thriller, drame and romance film directed by Nader Galal, running about 130 minutes.

What it’s about. Ali Abd-El-Zaher est membre d’un groupe islamiste radical qui mène des attaques contre le gouvernement et la société, sous les ordres de leur chef spirituel, le frère Saif. Ali parvient à assassiner un officier, mais lors de sa fuite face aux autorités, il est renversé par une voiture conduite par Sewsan, la fille d’une famille musulmane respectée vivant dans le quartier de Maadi. Le père de Sewsan, chirurgien, ainsi que sa famille, prennent en charge le terroriste blessé. Celui-ci tente alors de dissimuler sa véritable identité et ses convictions, notamment son rejet de la musique, des femmes non voilées et des modes de vie occidentaux.
