Detour (2017) : distribution, intrigue et streaming

What it’s about. Harper, un jeune étudiant, est rongé par la colère qu’il nourrit à l’égard de son beau-père, ce dernier étant responsable d’un accident de la route qui a plongé sa mère dans le coma. Un soir, alors qu’il noie son chagrin dans un verre de whisky, il échafaude avec un redneck et une stripteaseuse un plan pour l’assassiner. Le lendemain, à peine remis de sa cuite, Harper n’a pas le temps de se souvenir de sa rencontre qu’il se retrouve embarqué dans une virée vengeresse, forcé d’assumer ses choix.

Who’s in it. Detour stars Tye Sheridan as Harper James, Bel Powley as Cherry, Emory Cohen as Johnny Ray and Stephen Moyer as Vincent, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.3/10, Detour has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $1.8K at the box office.
