À Memphis et à Thèbes au temps des pharaons, une intrigue amoureuse entre Aïda, une esclave éthiopienne appartenant à Amnéris la fille du Pharaon, et Radamès, un capitaine de la garde égyptienne, contrariée par le conflit armé opposant leurs deux peuples et la jalousie d'Amnéris, amoureuse de Radamès. « Aida » est un opéra en quatre actes de Giuseppe Verdi, sur un livret d'Antonio Ghislanzoni d'après une intrigue d'Auguste Mariette, créé le 24 décembre 1871 à l'opéra Khédival du Caire. Issu du coffret 27 opéras de Verdi « Tutto Verdi ». Enregistré en direct au Teatro Regio de Parme, les 01 et 05 février 2012.
