Nami par sa soif de l'argent ordonne à Luffy de participer à cette course où tous les coups sont permit, le but étant de la terminer. Mais un ancien marine participe également à cette course et est donné comme étant le favoris : Gasparde. Son but est d'éliminer tous les concurrents et Luffy et sa bande devront lui faire face...
