What it’s about. Lykke (13 ans), fille d'un homme politique éminent du parti travailliste, a accidentellement battu à mort son camarade de classe Jamie, fils d'un homme politique de la droite locale. La directrice de l'école, Liv, est une idéaliste qui, contrairement à ses convictions politiques, vit dans une relation secrète avec Karl Erik, le père de Jamie. Quand ils ne peuvent plus garder leur relation secrète, les environs réagissent avec incrédulité. Le frère de Liv, Anders, est l'enseignant de Lykke et de Jamie. Il était supposé se trouver dans la cour de l’école au moment de l’accident et se sentir très coupable de ne pas avoir pu empêcher l’accident de se produire.
